Sad News at M4UNOW basecamp

I hope you don’t mind a personal-business story? I will include a moral here, I promise.

Wednesday at around 5:30pm I was at a meetup.com group an hour away from home.

I got a call, a good family friend/freelance worker for my company had passed on, he was just 23. Dustin, lived not even a mile from me. He was not only a great help to my company but also a family friend. My children armoured him. He had a great personality and a lot of fun to be around. He always made you laugh.

It has not been an easy time at the base camp for a few days. Hopefully on Monday after the Funeral he will be at rest.

Dustin, left behind parents, a brother a sister a great girlfriend and a slew of friends and business associates. He helped as many people along his way and will be missed by MANY.

He was young as I said and apparently made a bad choice the day he was taken from us. This was a shock to me and my family.

I do not hold any grudges towards him, I just wish him and his family and friends peace.

We are all responsible for the actions and choices we make everyday of our lives. The important thing to remember is those choices most likely effect others in YOUR life. I sometimes think we forget that.

Take today for a few minutes if you can and look at the choices you make daily. Try and be your best self to yourself and others.

If your goal is to make a good living, support your family and spend as much time with them then do that. Desire it, Create it and make it happen.

If your desire is to just get by and that is really all you want to do, then don’t put a lot of effort into anything and you will get that.

Everyday work towards your goals and dreams chip away every day at it. You will get there. Persistence pays off dividends. You get out of this world what you put into it.

If you want to be the best coach, the best teacher the best salesman you can. You can do all those things with effort.

If it’s to be your own boss someday push yourself to make an extra appointment, make that extra phone call, work an additional hour. You will see the results.

If you have family and friends tell them how much you care. Give the kids an extra hug tonight life is precious and can be gone in an instant.

One of the gentlemen who walked me to my truck after I gave them the news why I had to leave said to me, “That’s why you have to live each day to the fullest.” He was right.

Take care of yourself and other ’s you love. Go get your dream, because in a flash it can be gone.

Fear of Selling, No more enter the Ball “Adage” Policy

It has come to light that men (most men), have somehow lost their balls.
It’s not just a tragedy, but an epidemic.

The John Wayne’s are gone. Who killed them? Can we get them back? Men have been
emotionally castrated in our society and I believe I know who did it. Women. That’s right,
women!

What I wonder though, is do we like the new men of our society? The men without balls?
Or do we miss the balls?

I am a woman and am I guilty of this… probably. Do I now regret the removal of one’s
testicals, maybe.
My first husband came with no balls, his previous wife swiped them. My current husband
came with some, but I think after 7.5 years of being together he has at least one left. Which
is better than none.

And, as of late I had a friend that I recently found out has none. That’s right his wife took
them. It’s a shame really.
His balls are so gone that his wife has him convinced that pursuing happiness in others is
a sickness and he’s the one that needs to be treated for it. Her exact words were, “You like
to be with women that make you feel good about yourself.”
Apparently, that wasn’t her job. Or, if it was she wasn’t doing it. Apparently he can only find
happiness with her. And, if he’s not getting it from home, he’s not supposed to find it
anywhere else. Period.
So, he is now entering counseling for this disease.

OI!
So, my question to us women is: do we like our men ball-less or do we miss the real MEN?
Do we like to be so damn controlling and so micro-manage oriented, to the point that they
are left scared to talk to anyone, scared to communicate with the opposite sex, and made
to feel guilty when they have a good time without us?

Don’t you think that takes away part of his soul, that is, who he is as person, his inner peace
and happiness? Or do we really just not give a damn, because hey we have the “control.” We
have created a weaker man a man with no backbone. Is that a happy man, a man to be proud
of? I don’t think so.

It was kind of flattering back in the day, when men stood their ground, and put their foot
down.
Damn, I think it is kind of sexy actually, if you see how men USED TO BE.

Now, this doesn’t mean they should “go off” half-cocked, as if they don’t have to be good
and control themselves.
It does mean, that we need to treat them like MEN and let them be happy. Whether it’s
scratching their balls, what’s left of them anyway, or going out to watch the game with their
buddies, or having a conversation (maybe even a conversation with the opposite sex). It’s
Ok, because if you treat them like men and with respect, and remember to admire them and
all the great things they do for us and compliment them. Then I can assure you they will be
good as gold and love you for it so much more.

So what is my point and what does this have to do with marketing?
Well, if you are a man and want to make money helping and selling to local businesses, show
them you have the BALLS to make their business money, and you are the MAN for the job.
Walk into the place of business and strut your stuff.
Stand proud, push your shoulders back, push out your mid region and act confident. You
can do it. Gina has given you the Ball “Adage” policy!

If you’re a woman go be sweet, kind, and caring. By caring I mean, truly show you care
about his/her business. Show the business owner that you will prove your worth and that you
are the wo-MAN for the job. Remember to compliment the owner on something, show them
the results they will get when they implement your services. Leave the business owner with his
balls, and you can tell him that his businesses will be better because you are dedicated to make
his business the most successful in his field, in his area.
Then, he will feel like he has BIG BALLS.
